WW2 German Field Telephone Equipment… Setting Up For A Reenacting Event – Part I

Packing equipment up to go to a reenacting event.

To attend a reenacting event, I typically pack:

  • 1 Amtszusatz
  • Small, 10-Line Switchboard
  • 3 FF33 Field Telephones (including 1 for the operator)
  • 1 Tischfernsprecher 38
  • 1 Betiebsuhr
  • 1 F Flag
  • 1 Brustmikrofon (for the operator’s FF33)
  • 1 Spare Handset
  • 1 Tablet Of Sprechformularen
  • Colored Pencils And A Pencil Sharpener

I also pack:

  • 1 Ammo Box Containing An X Link Bluetooth Device
  • 2 Backpack Wire Dispensers (one rigid and one folding)
  • 2 Spools Of Field Telephone Wire
  • 1 Abspannbock, Including Poles And Ropes
  • 1 Abspannleiste And 30-Conductor Cable
  • 2 Drahtgabels And Poles
  • 1 Feldmeßkätschen 18
  • 1 Cammo Fabric Canopy, Support Poles, And Ropes.
  • Tent Stakes
  • Short Lengths Of Field Telephone Wire
  • 2 Folding Chairs
  • 1 Barack Stool
  • 1 Table For The Switchboard
  • 1 Folding Table For Two FF33s
  • Miscellaneous Tools, Including A Mallet.

Lastly, don’t forget to take along a baukaren to hold some poles, the rigid backpack wire dispenser, and wire spools.
