WW2 German Field Telephone Equipment… The Übertrager Transformer – Part 3

The Übertrager is a transformer where the number of wire turns on the primary coil equals the number of wire turns on the secondary coil. In this article, I will explain the Übertrager terminal labels.

P = Primär Wicklung (Primary Winding)

S = Seckundär Wicklung (Secondary Winding)

Primary winding:

AP1 = Anfang der 1. hälste. (Beginning of the first half.)

EP1 = Ende der 1. hälste. (End of the first half.)

AP2 = Anfang der 2. hälste. (Beginning of the second half.)

EP2 = Ende der 2. hälste. (End of the second half.)

Secondary winding:

AS1 = Anfang der 1. hälste. (Beginning of the first half.)

ES1 = Ende der 1. hälste. (End of the first half.)

AS2 = Anfang der 2. hälste. (Beginning of the second half.)

ES2 = Ende der 2. hälste. (End of the second half.)
